TAE40110 to TAE40116 Upgrade
Do you have TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and need to upgrade to TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment?
All trainers and assessors delivering nationally recognised training must have, as a minimum, TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or the skill sets derived from units of competency within it).
Only a person who holds one of the following credentials can deliver training and assessment:
1. TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
2. TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus the following units:
-either TAELLN411 or TAELLN401A, and
-either TAEASS502 or TAEASS502A or TAEASS502B
3. Diploma or higher level qualification in adult education

- TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills
- TAEASS502 Design and develop assessment tools
Gap training for two (2) updated units:
- TAEASS401 Plan assessment activities and processes
- TAEASS403 Participate in assessment validation
