Self Paced Online (via Moodle LMS) & Work Placement
All learning materials, activities and assessments are accessed through our Moodle Learning Management System. You can study at any time that suits you — without being locked into set class times.
Learners will need:
- A computer or device with reliable internet access
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) for assessment tasks
- A working webcam and microphone are recommended for optional online trainer check-ins
Your dedicated trainer/assessor is available online throughout your enrolment to answer questions and provide feedback. Feedback is returned within two weeks of submission.
Completion depends on each student’s availability and level of engagement. Fortnightly unit milestones keep you on track. Regular assessment submission is a requirement — at least one assessment must be submitted per month.

Do you hold a relevant qualification — such as a Certificate III in Education Support, Early Childhood Education and Care, Disability, Individual Support or Community Services? Or do you have substantial hands-on experience working with students or young people in a school or care environment? You may be eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) at half the standard course fee. RPL can significantly reduce both your study load and your cost — talk to our team to find out which units you may already be able to have recognised.
If you hold a Statement of Attainment or qualification from another registered training organisation that includes units covered in this qualification, those units may transfer across at no charge via Credit Transfer.
- Be unemployed or working less than 20 hours per week
- Be an Australian citizen, permanent visa holder, or holder of an eligible temporary visa (subclass 300, 309, 444, 445, 461, 785, 790, 820 or others — please contact us to confirm)
- Hold a Bridging Visa E (subclasses 050 and 051) where a valid application for a subclass 785 or 790 has been made
- Hold a visa subclass 449 or 786, including eligible Afghan citizens
Funded training has additional requirements — including regular engagement, assessment submission by scheduled due dates, and maintaining course progression.
