This qualification reflects the roles of individuals delivering training and assessment services in the vocational education and training (VET) sector.This qualification (or the skill sets derived from units of competency within it) is also suitable preparation for those engaged in the delivery of training and assessment of competence in a workplace context, as a component of a structured VET program.

The volume of learning of a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is typically is typically six months to two years.

Those entering this program must be able to demonstrate vocational competency in their proposed teaching and assessing area. Vocational competency is defined as broad industry knowledge and experience, and may include, but is not limited to, holding a relevant unit of competency or qualification.

TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills

Course Delivery

Delivery options:

          • Face-to-face classroom – 8 full day workshops delivered at our Balcatta and Mandurah training premises
          • Virtual classroom – 3 hour sessions delivered once a week over 15 weeks through Microsoft Teams and culminating in a 1 day face-to-face workshop
          • Online – Enrol at any time and work at your own pace with full support of a dedicated trainer/assessor
          • Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) – Enrol any time for students that meet RPL requirements
          • TAE for Tradies – 2 hour virtual classrooms delivered once a week for 6 months
          • Customised – Bespoke for groups to meet your specific requirements, including onsite face-to-face training or virtual classrooms on a tailored schedule

Course Cost

Face-to-Face/Virtual: Fees vary depending on delivery method and eligibility for funding.

Online/RPL: $1,500


Fees and charges are based on the Department of Training and Workforce Development Fees and Charges Policy in line with Skills Strategies International developed training plan.

Any changes to the training plan may see an alteration to these fees.

The Student tuition fees are indicative only and are subject to change given individual circumstances at enrolment. Additional fees may apply such as Student service and resource fees.

Online and RPL participants have access to a dedicated trainer and the online course.  This option allows you to work at your own pace and at a time convenient to you.  We have a rolling intake so you can enrol at any time.
