Entry Requirements
To enrol, you need:

  1. Vocational Competency:
  2. Vocational competency is defined as broad industry knowledge and experience, and may include, but is not limited to, holding a relevant unit of competency or qualification.
    Please outline your expertise in the area you wish to train and assess for us in the enrolment form.

  3. Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN):
  4. Students should have an appropriate level of language, literacy and numeracy to meet the demands of training and assessment work at AQF Level 4.
    This includes the ability to read and interpret training package documentation, write assessment tools and reports, and communicate effectively with learners.

  5. Computer Literacy:
  6. Be proficient with Microsoft Office and capable of conducting internet research. You do not need to be an expert, but you MUST know how to do the basics.

  7. Technology:
  8. You will need:

    • A computer with reliable internet access and preferably a camera.
    • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • A working email address for communication with your assigned trainer
  9. Time Commitment:
  10. You will need to dedicate approximately 600-2400 hours to activities and assessments to complete this course. One assessment a month must be completed.

Entry Requirements

Learners access all course materials, learning activities and assessment tasks at their own pace within the expected 7–9 month timeframe.

Units are made available progressively as each unit is completed and assessed. Most units are sequenced to build knowledge and skills cumulatively — later units draw on competencies developed in earlier ones.

All assessment evidence must meet the requirements of the relevant unit as described in the assessment tools and is submitted through Moodle by the due date shown in your schedule.
Extensions are negotiated with your trainer.

Each learner enrolled in this course will be assigned a dedicated trainer/assessor who is available to provide support throughout the qualification. Support is provided via:

  • Email – learners may contact their trainer at any time with questions regarding course content, assessments or progress. Responses will be provided within two business days.
  • Phone – learners may request a phone consultation with their trainer to discuss progress, assessment requirements or any learning challenges.

Feedback on submitted assessments will be provided within two weeks of submission via the
Moodle LMS.

RPL
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is available for this course. Learners can discuss with their Trainer/Assessor the evidence they need to confirm existing knowledge and skills prior to applying for the recognition process.

Please discuss with your trainer and a schedule will be agreed upon going forward.
You will need to dedicate approximately 600-2400 hours to activities in total to complete the course.
4-5 hours of study per week is recommended to maintain progression.
