The AI skills your people actually need

AI is already in your workplace. The only question is whether your people can use it.
We wanted a clear answer to that, so we did the work. We mapped the AI skills every role needs, one team at a time. Trainers. Marketing. Administration and student services. Managers. For each one we set out what good looks like and how capability grows from beginning to leading.
Here is what we found.

For most roles, AI is a set of practical skills

For most people, getting good with AI is learnable. Draft faster. Check the output. Keep the human judgement and the personal touch. Protect privacy. Use the time it saves you on the work only a person can do. None of that is out of reach. It takes a bit of guidance and a bit of practice.

For managers, it is bigger than AI skills

Managers carry a different load. Putting AI into an organisation is a leadership and change job first, and a technology job second. The tools are the easy part. Bringing people with you is the work.

The managers who do this well can do four things. They tie AI to a real business goal instead of chasing it for its own sake. They name people’s fear directly and do not dismiss it. They build their team’s capability instead of expecting it. And they put guardrails in place so AI is used safely and within the rules.

That is not a webinar’s worth of skill. It is a capability you build.
