At Skills Strategies International we have been delivering the dual diploma to a mixed group of professionals from the public sector, private sector, schools and other Registered Training Organisations(RTO’s).
Learners feedback has been overwhelmingly positive as the dual diploma has a strong focus on learning rather than compliance and the content delivered aligns with participants’ job roles. This consolidates the learning and allows learners to apply the learning immediately in the workplace. Some examples are:
There are many reasons why the dual qualification is successful but the overall consensus is that “Higher is Better”. The Diploma level qualification is a workplace relevant course that prepares learners for their Vocational roles whereas the Certificate IV level qualification lacks the connection to workplace implementation.

“I enrolled in the Diploma of VET and Training Design Development whilst working for a Government department that required me to develop capability training frameworks as well as training tools linked to national competencies. The dual diploma is able to refine my skills in areas where I am lacking as well as providing me with formal recognition based on my prior workplace experience. I know that attainment of the dual diploma will raise my professional profile in the area of VET and training. I would recommend the study to any professional in this field to further develop their skills and to raise their professional profile – Kathy, public sector employee
“Undertaking a dual diploma has really increased my depth of knowledge about VET and also about many other aspects of training and assessment that I can use in my job as a VET Coordinator but also pass on to my VET staff. By completing the dual Diploma and the increased knowledge that I have gained, I will be able to assist my staff in completing their Certificate IV in Training and Assessment – VET Coordinator
