AI Literacy for Educators
AI Literacy for Educators is an SSI-issued microcredential that takes you from casual AI user to confident, framework-aligned classroom practice. The course is for practising teachers, VET lecturers, school leaders, and corporate trainers who have used AI casually but want to apply it inside the rules that govern their classroom or training room.
The course is delivered through five (5) self-paced modules plus two (2) live 90-minute webinars, completed over six weeks.

- Explain what generative AI is, how large language models work, and what their limits are . in plain language.
- Use at least three GenAI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini) safely against the Australian Framework for Generative AI in Schools and your state policy.
- Identify and mitigate the four classroom risks: hallucination, bias, privacy breach, and inappropriate dependency.
- Draft a Classroom AI Plan for your own teaching context, signed off by your leader, ready to use next term.
